And these days having these TV sets in these places is seemingly important because a) having a TV at home is a rarity, and b) socializing isn't really hip .. But I rarely take notice to what's on the TV cause I'm usually busy with my food that I came to enjoy .. That and I njoy txting ppl ! But lately I've begun to take notice of them because they're in every corner of the place and if you've been to Varanda then you'd know it's on the whole wall using a projector .. So I sat watching music videos on Melody, that's what they all have on .. I never watch music videos because I think music is made to be heard and videos are just silly .. But it was really interesting because most of the singers were women, and I think it's safe to say they were all scantly clad .. As in, you can see more skin than clothes .. Not only that but the cameras often zoom into these special areas that make you think the guy behind the cam is a young pubescent kid .. But seriously it was shocking and for a moment I thought, 'why do people pay for the Playboy channel when they can get better for free ?!' It's just sad really, and it's hard finding a descent place that's free of air and sound pollution, I guess they exist but these guys don't seem to enjoy them .. Oh well, I'll have to save them for when I'm married or something.

Where art thou Notification Preferences?

look who's back ! and it's not any form of currency cuz money never seems to come back, just leave ! so i decided to sign up on ebay for the 9th time plus 1 just in case one day i find something i really like and can't live without and have to get it right away .. like a vase or cushion (hmm no that's what women get, nevermind) .. but seriously my friend and i decided we're going to start selling on ebay, as soon as we decide what we're actually going to sell, which we have no idea about. but it really sounds like a good idea if you think about it, you're offering your items to the world virtually so you're not limited to the tiny island of copper smiles. but a week after signing up i seem to have received the first 'junk' from ebay that encourages me to "Check out these amazing deals on eBay" .. amazing is a bit of a push for items that don't appeal to me like makeup, a ladies top and erm a diamond ring ! now scroll all the way down looking for instructions to stop getting this crap and it tells me to simply go to my account page on ebay and select 'Notification Preferences' and i'll be able to set all that in there. simple enough i said, so off i went. but here i am an hour later writing this and i still haven't found that nifty link so i'm here to address the public and ask for help or any information that will lead me to finding these preferences and finally end my misery.

Banking Blunder

We live in a world where there is barely room to breathe. You have so many things wrapped around your finger that you don't know what to do and what to leave. And when you want to give your business to people you expect them to make things easy for you because you're giving them your money and the last thing they want is you taking that money and giving it to someone else.

So when you enter a bank to open an account you naturally expect top-class service and with technology advancing so fast you have to keep up with it or you will simply sink. Amazed I was when I walked into the Ahli United Bank, a.k.a 'bank el ajam', and walked out wishing it would just burn down to ashes ! All I wanted to do is walk in, open a current account and walk out. Well to do that in this bank, you need your CPR, passport, 200 Dinars deposit (most other banks require 100 Dinars), 500 Dinars salary (the form says 400 Dinars) and lots of patience ! Then you 'simply' need to fill out THREE forms, write your full name SIX times, your home address FOUR times and sign on the dotted line THREE times ! Well after all that is done they ask you if you want the OPTIONAL bank card; some current account system they have. Oh and cheque books are also optional, they also ask you WHY you want cheques ! You see, in my previous bank I used the cheques to make origami out of them, but at my new bank I think I'll put them to better use and use them as a notepad.

So there you have it. By the way I have an NBB account and I thought they sucked. Now I'll have to rethink my opinion.

P.S forgot to mention they needed a salary transfer letter from my employer even though I meet their requirements for opening a current account.
